About This Space
I write here as a practitioner—openly, imperfectly, and with care.
My name is Aadi, and Drift Into Now is a quiet, evolving space shaped by lived experience rather than abstract theory. It began as a personal refuge—a way to return, again and again, to presence during moments of uncertainty, restlessness, and inner noise. Over time, it has grown into a place where reflection, mindfulness, and contemplative practice are shared in a simple and human way.
This is not a platform built on authority, expertise, or instruction. It is a space grounded in direct experience, where insights arise through practice, observation, and silence rather than conceptual frameworks alone.
The Heart of the Practice
At its core, this space is rooted in mindfulness—the simple yet profound act of being present with what is, without resistance or escape.
Before encountering any formal spiritual traditions, mindfulness revealed something immediate and honest: the ability to meet each moment as it unfolds. In times of emotional turbulence or mental overwhelm, it offered a steady ground—a way to pause, breathe, and return to awareness.
Here, mindfulness is not treated as a technique to master, but as a living relationship with the present moment. Through reflections, writings, and contemplative prompts, this space gently encourages a return to that natural awareness that is always available.
Influence of Vajrayana Buddhism
While this is not a teaching platform, my path has been deeply influenced by Vajrayana Buddhism, a tradition known for its symbolic richness, meditative depth, and transformative view of human experience.
Elements of Vajrayana—such as its imagery, archetypal expressions of wisdom and compassion, and sensitivity to inner transformation—naturally inform the tone and structure of what is shared here. However, these influences are presented in a non-instructional and accessible way, without formal rituals, initiations, or lineage-based frameworks.
Nothing here is intended to replace traditional guidance or structured learning. Instead, it reflects how these influences are lived, felt, and integrated in everyday awareness.
A Meeting of Traditions
I was born into the rich and diverse spiritual landscape of Hindu culture, where devotion, mantra, and reverence for the sacred are deeply woven into daily life. These early influences continue to shape how I relate to spirituality—through a sense of openness, respect, and inward connection.
Over time, these roots have met naturally with Buddhist contemplative practice. Rather than existing in opposition, they have come together as a lived convergence, centered on awareness, compassion, and presence.
This space reflects that integration—not as a system or philosophy, but as a quiet unfolding of practice in real life.
