Different voices. Shared space for reflection.
Drift Into Now is primarily a space for exploring mindfulness, contemplative living, Buddhist thought, Vajrayana, and the quieter questions that arise through practice and everyday life.
But no meaningful path of reflection belongs to one voice alone.
From time to time, Drift Into Now welcomes guest writers whose work brings a thoughtful perspective to the themes explored here. These contributions may approach mindfulness, inner life, spiritual practice, relationships, self-understanding, or the experience of simply being human from a different angle.
Guest contributors write in their own voices. Their perspectives do not necessarily represent every view expressed elsewhere on Drift Into Now, nor are they expected to.
The purpose of Guest Voices is not to make everyone sound the same. It is to make room for writing that encourages us to pause, notice, question, and perhaps see something familiar differently.
Writers who build a meaningful body of original work on Drift Into Now may be recognised here as Featured Contributors, bringing their published reflections together in one place.

Featured Contributor
Shani Bahar Azulay is the founder of Aligned Ink and author of The Life Lesson Journal.
Her writing explores the patterns that repeat through ordinary life, the lessons they may reveal, and the space between understanding something inwardly and actually learning to live it.
There is a particular quality to Shani's writing that fits naturally within Drift Into Now. Rather than beginning with abstract ideas, she often begins somewhere ordinary—a difficult moment, a memory, a relationship, a compliment handed straight back—and uses that small experience as a doorway into a larger question.
Her work explores themes including memory, relationships, receiving and giving, repeating patterns, self-awareness, and what she describes as the life lessons hidden within everyday experience.
Shani is a Featured Contributor to Drift Into Now, with four original reflections published on the site.

Living the Lesson After the Insight
What happens after we understand something about ourselves but find the same pattern waiting for us again in ordinary life?
Shani explores the distance between recognising a pattern and actually living what the insight asks of us. Sometimes transformation does not arrive as a dramatic breakthrough. Sometimes the real work begins after the insight.

Before It Reaches the Body: Four Places the Lesson Asks Its Question First
What if the patterns that eventually appear in the body have already been asking for our attention elsewhere?
This reflection looks at the different places a recurring lesson may appear in our lives before we recognise it clearly, inviting us to notice patterns earlier and listen more carefully to what they may be asking of us.

Collecting Moments or Choosing Them: What Memory Can Do When We Stop Filing It Away
A smell, a song, or the name of a street can suddenly return us to a moment we thought was long gone.
Shani explores memory not simply as a record of the past, but as something we continually enter into relationship with—and asks whether we are merely collecting memories or taking part in what they become.

The Compliment You Hand Right Back
Someone tells you something kind, and before the words have even landed, you return it, explain it away, or change the subject.
This piece looks at the surprisingly difficult practice of receiving: allowing a compliment, kindness, or expression of love to reach us without immediately feeling that we have to repay it.

About Guest Contributions
Every guest article published on Drift Into Now is selected because it offers something genuinely relevant to the spirit of this space.
Publication does not mean that every philosophical, spiritual, or personal perspective expressed by a guest writer is necessarily shared by Drift Into Now. Guest authors remain the voices behind their own work.
Where appropriate, articles may be lightly edited for clarity, structure, readability, and consistency with the site while preserving the author's individual voice.
Writers who make occasional contributions remain welcome Guest Authors. Those who develop a meaningful body of original work on the site may be recognised as Featured Contributors, with their writing collected here for readers to explore.
There is no required publishing schedule or expectation attached to Featured Contributor status. It simply recognises writers whose work has developed a meaningful presence within Drift Into Now.
If you are interested in contributing your own work, please visit Write for Us for submission guidelines.
Guest Voices are offered in the same spirit as the rest of Drift Into Now: not as final answers, but as invitations to look more closely.
