Write for Drift Into Now

At Drift Into Now, we believe storytelling is more than expression—it is a way of returning to presence. In a fast-moving world, thoughtful words have the power to slow us down, reconnect us with ourselves, and open meaningful dialogue with others.

We warmly invite guest contributors who feel aligned with this intention.

If you are someone who reflects deeply, observes closely, and writes with sincerity, this space is open to you. Whether your voice is poetic, practical, introspective, or experiential, what matters most is authenticity and depth.

This is not a platform for content volume. It is a space for intentional writing that resonates.

What We're Looking For

We welcome original articles that explore themes connected to mindful living, Buddhist wisdom, inner growth, and conscious creativity. Your writing should offer insight, reflection, or lived experience rather than surface-level advice.

Topics we currently accept include:

  • Buddhist philosophy, Vajrayana traditions, and contemplative wisdom
  • Tibetan Buddhist art, sacred symbolism, and spiritual practices
  • Personal growth and mindfulness practices
  • Creative inspiration and the inner process of making
  • Travel experiences with reflective or philosophical depth
  • Productivity approached through awareness and intention
  • Journaling as a tool for self-inquiry and clarity
  • Slow living, simplicity, and digital minimalism

You are not limited to these categories. If your piece aligns with the spirit of Drift Into Now, we are open to exploring it.

What matters most is that your writing feels real, grounded, and meaningful.

Our Editorial Approach

We prioritize writing that:

  • Encourages presence rather than urgency
  • Shares experience rather than just instruction
  • Invites reflection rather than seeking attention
  • Feels human, honest, and unforced
  • Respects the authenticity and diversity of contemplative traditions

We are not looking for generic "how-to" content or heavily optimized articles written purely for search engines. While clarity and structure matter, depth and sincerity matter more.

Articles exploring Buddhist philosophy, Vajrayana, or spiritual practices should be presented thoughtfully and responsibly, with appropriate respect for traditional teachings and lineage-based practices.

Submission Guidelines

To maintain quality and consistency, please follow these guidelines carefully.

Original Work Only

Your submission must be entirely your own and not previously published elsewhere, including your personal blog or other platforms.

Word Count

Articles should ideally be between 800 and 1,500 words. This allows enough space for thoughtful exploration without unnecessary length.

Tone and Style

Write in a warm, reflective, and conversational tone. Avoid overly technical language or rigid structures unless necessary for the subject.

Structure and Formatting

Use clear headings and subheadings to guide the reader. Keep paragraphs readable and well-spaced.

Images (Optional)

You may include royalty-free images or suggest placements within your article. Ensure you have the right to use any images you submit. We reserve the right to select or replace images to maintain visual consistency.

Links

You may include 1–2 relevant, non-promotional links, subject to editorial approval. Excessive linking, affiliate-heavy content, and links included primarily for search engine manipulation are not accepted.

All external links are reviewed individually. Paid contributions do not guarantee followed backlinks, and commercial links will be appropriately qualified.

Author Bio

Include a short author biography of approximately 50–100 words. You may also attach a profile photograph, although this is optional.

Editorial Adjustments

We reserve the right to make reasonable adjustments to headings, formatting, grammar, and presentation to maintain consistency with the website's editorial style. Substantial changes will be discussed with the contributor where appropriate.

Guest Contributions and Publishing Fees

Drift Into Now welcomes original, thoughtful contributions exploring mindfulness, Buddhist philosophy, contemplative practice, and conscious living.

A modest editorial and publishing fee of A$21 (AUD) per accepted article applies to submissions from businesses, agencies, and commercially affiliated contributors. This helps support the time involved in reviewing, editing, formatting, and publishing guest articles.

Independent writers and practitioners may be considered for complimentary publication at the editor's discretion.

Payment is requested only after a submission has been reviewed and approved for publication, and before the article goes live.

All submissions must meet our editorial standards. Payment does not guarantee acceptance, and we reserve the right to decline articles that do not align with the purpose and values of Drift Into Now.

Paid contributions will be appropriately disclosed, and commercial links will carry suitable attributes, such as rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow".

Our commitment to thoughtful, authentic writing remains unchanged, regardless of whether a contribution is paid or complimentary.

What We Do Not Accept

To protect the integrity of the platform, we do not publish:

  • Plagiarized or duplicate content
  • AI-generated or heavily automated writing
  • Promotional, affiliate-heavy, or sales-driven articles
  • Content that is political, discriminatory, or inappropriate
  • Submissions with excessive or irrelevant outbound links
  • Low-effort or generic articles lacking depth or originality
  • Misleading spiritual claims or irresponsible presentation of restricted practices

Every submission is reviewed carefully to ensure it aligns with our values and editorial standards.

How to Submit

You can send either a completed article or a well-thought-out pitch.
